When Florien Smits – Kleurjekist – approached us in March 2021, we immediately said yes to her project. Her mission to support families in their grief over a lost one, touched us and we are proud that we were able to help this wonderful mission. Kleurjekist provides a connecting, playful and valuable ritual for families, friends and colleagues saying goodbye to a loved one. By painting the illustrated coffin together, relatives can create a beautiful and personal last 'home'. The illustrations are milled in sustainable wood and the process of painting them together, will bring out the most beautiful memories and stories to help one grieve.
